Course Information

Veterinary Foundation wet lab- 4 delegates maximum.

This course has been the most popular since 2006 and is suitable for those recently graduated and also those who want to review their skills in line with current best practice. Courses start with a two hour pizza lecture at 7pm on Monday night and includes all of the following day as a practical hands-on wet lab. Subjects include recognition and significance of oral pathology, charting, digital dental radiology, and an introduction to oral surgery (including surgical extractions).

Course certificates are supplied proving ten hours of verified and registrable CPD. Please check our terms and conditions before booking.

Our custom CPD follows tried and tested formats successful over the last twenty years and can be constructed to your specification if required. Courses at DentalVets are run regularly - usually every 8-12 weeks depending on demand and supply of clinical material.

Dental Radiology Course 9 May 2017

We intend to run another one day course on dental radiology. Spaces are limited to 24. Please email I(as above) to book. This course is a day of combined theory and practice including small group work using conventional and handheld dental x-ray generators and CR digital scanners with PSP phosphor plates. Other digital methods  (DR sensors) and conventional film will be discussed and demonstrated. Cases and interpretation will also be included. The course will be run from the East Lothian Yacht Club on the picturesque harbour in North Berwick - see below.

DentalVets North Berwick CPD

We can help advise with regard to accommodation in the local area. Using websites such as AirBnB or often provides the best deals and prices. In some cases a discount may be available for course delegates. For families, the McDonald Marine Hotel is worth a look. It is a refurbished Victorian hotel with new pool, spa and leisure centre located on the 16th fairway of the world famous North Berwick Golf Club and 100 metres from the beach.

North Berwick is an ideal family location with beach, sailing, bird watching, golf and fishing all available locally. The award winning Scottish Seabird Centre opened in May 2000 and is in the top ten most visited Scottish tourist attractions. Another "must see" is the National Museum of Flight which is a few miles south. It is the location for the first operational British Airways Concorde aircraft now retired. The Museum of Flight is open weekends only in the winter.
